Milliput and miniature sculpting

So like I have said and shown in the last few posts, I have been busy with clay lately. I found that polymer clay (Fimo) was not ideal for what I wanted to achieve since, with the tiny parts that I am making it gets quite brittle. I had been looking at using resin but that was a very time consuming and dificult process. Then I found Milliput. I bought a box from the model shop at the end of my street and I am absolutely in love with this material. I have spend the last three days (well not today since I had guests) making tiny things. I wanted to make some of my previous style jewelry but suddenly I found myself making miniature characters. Milliput allows me to work smaller then I tried so far. This is the first time I make full-body characters in clay and I must say I am quite proud of how they came out. One guy is not finished yet but I will work on him some more tomorrow. It feels like I am drawing but in clay!

Post two of the evening, a bit more complex work.

Some more complex work. Some of them are a bit older but most of them are more recent. These were mostly made in last December and the beginning of January.
